Am I allowed to fly there?
Allowed with conditions
Flying is allowed, but with conditions you need to know before you travel.
Required
Under DINAC regulation R 1103 every drone must be entered in the national aircraft register; devices registered abroad need prior entry and permission from DINAC.
Your EU registration is not automatically valid here.
Required
Owners and operators must take out liability insurance for third-party damage, also for recreational flights.
For tourists
Clarify registration and flight permission with DINAC before your trip; German registration and insurance are not automatically recognised. Recreational flights themselves need no individual permit, but distance from people and aerodromes and daylight.

- Up to 100 Wh: no approval needed.
- Over 100 up to 160 Wh: only with the airline's approval, at most 2 spare batteries.
- Over 160 Wh: not allowed on passenger aircraft.
