Web app changelog

What has changed recently in the Hoverpoint web app. The Android and iOS app has its own changelog — you’ll find it there under “Help & news”.

1.2.0

  • New: Account Management: Under “My profile” you will now find a “Security” tab. You can now securely change your email address and password directly in the browser.
  • Fixed: In the web app, the pilot's name was not always displayed correctly in the business cards. This has now been fixed.
  • Fixed: In the web app, pilot names could be assigned multiple times. This has now been fixed.

  • New: Pilot card: create a public page under “My profile” — with display name, short bio, home region, links, selected drones from your hangar, your flight statistics and your spots. Every block has its own switch, and until you publish, the page does not exist for visitors.
  • New: Pilot details in the browser: your master data from the app — name, e-ID, licence number, address, contact and the expiry dates of your competency certificates — can now be edited here too, provided your cloud backup is on. This data stays private and never appears on your pilot card.
  • Fixed: NOTAM search radius greatly increased. Until now the search covered 15 NM around your position — which swallowed large-area notices whose centre lies further away, even when you were standing inside the affected area. Military exercise areas and large restricted zones were missing as a result. Now 100 NM, filtered afterwards by each notice’s actual radius.
  • New: This page: the web app now has its own version number and a change log. After a version jump you’ll briefly see what’s new on your next visit.
  • Improved: Favicon and app icon: the web app finally has its own symbol in the browser tab — and can be added to your home screen as a web app.

  • New: Web app as a second device: flight log, licences & permits, EFB and hangar are now available in the browser too — what you change here is there the next time you start the app.
  • New: Service status: under “Status” you can see whether the geozone, NOTAM and airspace services of the covered countries are currently responding.

The web app and the mobile app are versioned separately: the web app is updated several times between two app releases, so a shared number would quickly stop matching reality.
