Special rules

For tourists

Before entering with a drone you need, according to the German Foreign Office, the consent of the aviation authority CAA and an import permit from the economy ministry, which you show to customs. Customs can confiscate undeclared drones, and getting them back is sometimes only possible against high fines. Allow several weeks for this.
