Travel check
Taking your drone on holiday? Pick your destination – Hoverpoint puts together from the country rules what you need to know and do before you travel.
Bermuda
Outside the EASA areaLast checked: October 5, 2026
Am I allowed to fly there?
Allowed
Unclear
The BCAA does not mention a registration requirement for recreational flights and does not issue licences to drone pilots; however, it does not state an explicit exemption either.
Your EU registration is not automatically valid here.
Unclear
The BCAA states no insurance requirement for recreational flights; liability insurance with cover abroad still makes sense.
For tourists
Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory with its own aviation authority (BCAA) and its own rules, the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order. You may not fly over settlements and roads, and government land such as the Botanical Gardens requires permission from the Parks Department.
Does my drone fit?

Batteries on the plane
- Spare batteries in hand luggage only – each one protected against short circuits (terminal caps, original packaging or its own bag).
- Up to 100 Wh: no approval needed.
- Over 100 up to 160 Wh: only with the airline's approval, at most 2 spare batteries.
- Over 160 Wh: not allowed on passenger aircraft.
Enter your battery's Wh – they are printed on the battery.
