Am I allowed to fly there?
Permit required
You may only fly here with a permit issued by the authorities in advance.
Import and operation only with a prior special permit from the civil aviation authority; without it, customs will confiscate the drone.
Required
After the special permit and before import, apply for state registration within ten working days; the certificate is valid for five years.
Your EU registration is not automatically valid here.
Required
For registration you must provide proof of third-party liability insurance.
For tourists
Since January 2026 both are handled online via the MyGov portal; whether foreigners without an Azerbaijani ID can use it is not documented. Without a permit, the drone may be confiscated on entry.
