Schloss Sandsee liegt auf einer Anhöhe oberhalb von Pleinfeld im Fränkischen Seenland. Die mittelalterliche Burg wurde im Dreißigjährigen Krieg zerstört und anschließend wieder aufgebaut. Die historische Anlage mit ihrer hohen Ringmauer und dem markanten Rundturm ist von Wald umgeben und bietet ein interessantes Fotomotiv. Das Schloss befindet sich in Privatbesitz und ist bewohnt.
