Das ehemalige Chemiewerk Salzwedel wurde 1990 stillgelegt. Heute stehen auf dem Gelände mehrere verfallene Industriegebäude, deren Fassaden teilweise mit Graffiti bedeckt sind. Die überwucherten Ruinen bieten interessante Motive für Luftaufnahmen.
